Event Receiver = SUBSCRIBE

Hi Carolyn,
Yes it does have a specific link to events.
 
What the GOS > Subscribe function does is add a triggering event linkage
- you can see this in transaction SWETYPV after you have subscribed.
 
The user themself needs to do the GOS > Subscribe and then they will be
linked to the subscription.

If I understood the subscription correctly what you describe is not what it
does. Go to a document (invoice, purchase order, whatever), choose GOS =>
Subscribe.
You will now be notified whenever someone changes this document. It doesn't
really have any direct link to events I think. However, I haven't used it
myself.

Hi,
 
I'm trying to understand how to use the "Generic Object Service"
SUBSCRIBE. I'm reading page 316 in "Practical Workflow for SAP", but
it is not making sense. I don't know how to subscribe a specific user
to the event.
 
What am I missing?
