Use of Workflow configuration - Role no choice

Ah - yes I see what you mean - I had the wrong menu path.
Might be a good one to query via OSS, but suspect that its because changing to
a rule has a greater impact, i.e. bindings have to be adjusted as well.
Would be nice though. Good one for a user group development request perhaps.

Que? Could you please elaborate. It seems you are saying that it is not
possible to use the workflow configuration to make minor adaptions to a
standard workflow template if we e.g. want to use a different rule for
determining the work item recipients. I hope I have misunderstood.

The strange thing is, as Kjell-Ole says, that when going into the workflow
configuration to change the responsibility in a step there is a limited set
of agent types available. When defining a workflow the step agents can be
of type AC (role), O (org.unit), C (job), S (position), A (work centre), US
(user) or expression. Why on earth is type AC not available when you are in
the workflow configuration?

It is of course possible to simply modify the standard WS workflow
definition - but that is a modification with all the hassle that follows if
SAP upgrades the standard solution. Configurations (I assume) will be kept
even if the standard flow definition is upgraded.

Hi Kjell-Ole,
Yes - the workflow configuration you are looking at applies to the whole
workflow
environment not to one specific workflow.

It is quite common to copy the standard workflow and then make your changes
to your
copy.

Subject: Use of Workflow configuration - Role no choice

Hi

In our 4.6C system, and for the SAP standard Quality notification workflows
(example WS00200085), we want to do some changes in the standard roles
00000172 and 00000174 for the tasks.

>From the workflow builder I call workflow configuration (Extras - Call
workflow configuration), and think it is maybe a possibility change to my
own role this way. But when I double click on the task and want to choose
agents of type role, there are only Orgunit, Job, Position, Workcenter,
user and Expression available.

Maybe this indicate that I have to copy the workflow template and the tasks
and then choose my own role instead of role 172/174 ?

Do you have some advice

Br
Kjell-Ole
