Hi Rajiv,

The base functionality is there,
just fishing out who is to be contacted is the trick.

If PM order uses a stockable item,
the a reservation for the part is created.

The Planners can see the status of their operations.
Depending on MRP or how purchasing is done there,
the reservation becomes a PO.

The recipient can be added to reservation/Pur req.
Other wise the maintenance planner group on the PM order can be used
to know who to contact.

When the G/R occurs, an event is trigger.

A workflow listening to that event can check the PO, see that it came from a works orders, and either check the reservation of the "contact" person, or use some rule to determine based on Maintenance planner group
who to send a mail to.

Check with the maintenance planner and/or Stock issuers on how they like to track how the recipient is. Ie where they store the info.

Fishing it out and sending them a mail would be straight forward and
common in Works mgt sites.

Subject: Possibility of a workflow in 4.6c

Hi!
Is it possible to create a workflow for the following scenario?:

When maintenance have a work order but require a spare which is not in
stock, the planners put the W/O on hold WOM (waiting on materials)
purchasing buys the part. When the warehouse goods receiving enters the
arrival of the part in SAP does SAP automatically link (or can it be
configured to) and inform the planners that the part has arrived via the W/O
linked number???

Thanks,

Rajiv Kane
