The best period value for scheduling RSWUWFML program

Hi Hendri,
Another thing to think about is when does the job for RSCONN01 run
as this is the job that sends the emails generated by RSWUWFML to the
mail server. Its usually a good idea to make your job include
RSWUWFML as the first step and RSCONN01 as the second step so that the
mails are generated and sent out straightaway to minimise delays
between the email being created and it reaching the recipient.
If you are having multiple jobs with different variants for RSWUWFML
then of course you just add RSCONN01 to the most frequent RSWUWFML run.

The answer is .... it depends.

Consider a WF which goes to many agents who are logged on and use their
inbox regularly. The flow goes to many agents and the first one to
execute it gets to do the job. 1/2 hourly runs will result
in notifications sent to all and usually by the time they get to their
inbox someone else has already picked it up. This can get annoying, 2
hours is useful as it is likely that someone's picked the item up by
then - thus many items won't have notifications.

Consider a WF which is critical and goes to single agents who are not
usually logged on. 1/2 hour sounds OK for this scenario.

As it so happens, I'm working on using multiple jobs - each handling
notifications for separate flows.

Cheers
Mike
