attaching a multiline element to sendtask email

Hi everyone, this attachment stuff seems to confuse a lot of people, and =
now I'm one of them.  I have a sendmail task that sends an email =
notification to a user.  Before that step I have a step that generates a =
statement into an internal table element to be passed to the sendmail =
task.  Within the sendmail task I append the multiline element =
containing the statement into the body of the mail text by inserting the =
statement &containerelement##& into the description text.  This works, =
but the formatting is really bad and I was hoping to attach it instead.  =
I tried binding it to the element _adhoc_objects because I read =
somewhere that would create an attachment in the email.  But no success. =
 I'm sure I'm missing something small, can someone shed some light on =
this for me please?
