deadline actions

Hi,
 
Is it possible to force a user decision task after a certain time ?
Let's say a user did not react on a task after 1 week and the system =
should continue with a default option.
How ?
 
Other question:
Can a deadline message be sent to Outlook mail instead of the Business =
Workplace ?
