Background Task is always InProcess

Hi Swami,
Sounds like your background task is failing and not reporting back the failure
to workflow.
Try looking at short dumps and SM58 - problems sometimes show up there.
Otherwise try using the "Execute work item in background" option in SWI1 to
reexecute the work item and see what the problem is.

All,
I have a background task which will check the status of the Service
Notification within a Workflow. This task is sometimes continuously In
process. This is causing a lot of problems for us.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
