Workgroups and Folders

Good afternoon all.  I am looking into sending a workitem notification to a
workgroup or preferably a shared folder set-up in the SAP inbox.  Has anyone
sent notifications to these folders in SAP inbox and can it even be done.
If so, what is the identifying information that points the workitem to the
shared folders.  We are in 46c.
