Time Approval and Substitution

Hope this helps you:
 
You can maintain 2 types of substitutes (using the maintain substitutes functionality from the workplace):
 
1) personal substitutes: only other users, these users receive all work items that the person who is substituted receives
(in case substitution is active)
2) substitutes for each position a user is assigned to: it's possible to assign users, persons (HR) or other positions as
substitutes for as position
 
There is no restriction on which user/position/person can be assigned as substitute.
