Time limit Exceeded

The only time I've seen a time limit exceeded message is when I had an
endless loop in a method.

Hi workflow expert,
 
I've one problem that has been disturbing me since a week ago.
 
Our development system is R/3 4.6C.
 
When we triggered an object, the activate event trace recorded status:
Receiver started correctly.
 
But for half hour when we checked in workplace, there wasn't any
workitem.
 
And when we looked at recorded event trace, status still was same:
Receiverer started correctly, but RFC Status recorded Time Limit
Exceeded.
 
I don't have any idea to solve this problem, I've checked all
customizing
and the result looked okay.
 
Is there any suggestion to check any customizing? Or is this basis
problem
to extend time limit?
