You're looking for relationship type A0008 - Holder
 
The infotype is 1001 - Relationships
 
Check tables HRP1000 or HRP1001.  They're most likely your best bet.
 
Can also call function module RH_STRUC_GET

This is not really a Workflow problem, just a question with regards to
Organisational Structure.
 
Does any one know which table I can find which user is assigned to a
position?
