Travel expenses : Follow on task

Hi experts
 
Any help on the following
 
I have a travel expense workflow which is started by the event 'changed' or
'created'. I have a new method which provides a Pop-up to the user to see
if the claim is ready for Approval, here is my problem, I want this pop-up
to appear automatically to the user as soon as he saves his expenses form,
i.e. I don't want the user to have to go to his inbox to process the task.
Any help on how I achieve this ??
