Inconsistent evaluation result from check function of event

Hi
 
Have set up a start condition, client independent, for a triggering event
for a workflow.  However, have found that the check function
SWB_CHECK_FB_START_COND_EVAL returns 'Check FM ends with exception'
sometimes.  The test cases used all have exactly the same parameters.  Has
anyone encountered such a behaviour?  Would appreciate pointers on this.
