Thad,

>From your description I am not sure if this is the solution; but be =
aware that it is possible to get this problem if you are using =
structural authorisations and do not give the user starting the workflow =
(normally through a web screen) access to WS and TS objects.=20

When struc autho is on SAP can't see the task authorisations anymore =
from this user id (don't ask me why this autho check is being done at =
this point), resulting in the task definitions not being 'there' and =
that exact error message appearing.=20

You can check user id's for this using transaction RE_RHAUTH00. Again, I =
am not sure if this is your solution as I have only experienced it when =
starting workflows from web transactions; not from direct event =
publishing.

Hope this helps,

Jeroen

You can check the message in SE91. WD is the message class and 472 is =
the message number. In our system 4.6C, the message description is "Task =
definition '&' not found".

Subject: "Task definition not found"

Hi all:

In CRM 3.0, my workflow is triggered by 'bus1006.changed'. I use the BP
transaction (business partner maintenance) to raise that event.

The trouble is that often I receive an error message "Task definition =
not
found" even though the link does exist and is active (according to =
SWETYPV
and "Triggering events" tab). Obviously wf does not start.

Other times, even when the link on 'Triggering events' tab is inactive, =
the
wf definition is found and the wf does what it is supposed to do.

- Can anyone offer any hint why that might be happening?

Also, is there any error message repository available somewhere, so that
one could use it for debugging purposes. When I am getting the "Task
definition not found", it comes with WD 472 code. I have not been able =
to
find it anywhere.

Thank you in advance,
Thad Gorbal
