FIPP method Post / Parked GL documents

Hello fellow workflower's

I have been working on a parked documents workflow using business object
FIPP. The method Post for FIPP is being used, (standard task TS00008142). I
am attempting to use the outcome 'document not posted' to then move the
workflow onto the next activity - send mail. The send mail will notify the
approver that the document did not post. I have been creating parked
documents with a posting period of 5. I have seen this work in other
implementations of FIPP Post but cannot seem to get it to work. I have
verified the bindings between the workflow container, task container and
method container. There do not appear to be any problems. When the workflow
is tested all of the steps of the workflow execute correctly. Before I
execute a document release step, (FIPP Release), I close FI period 5 to try
and force the send mail task to occur. I then execute the release step and
the workflow completes. No mail is sent and the workflow log shows the
document having been posted. However when you check the workflow log and
the container elements you can clearly see the document could not be posted
as the financial posting period the document was closed, (container
elements MSGTX, MSGTY, MSGNO MSGID & POSTED).

Can anyone explain why the document appears to have been posted but clearly
has not been - you can go into transaction FBV2 and post the document.

All advice is welcome

Duncan.
