AW: Creating events using message control

John, absolutely, the movement type can be provided as an attribute in =
most
cases.. if you only wanted to start the workflow when one particular
movement type was used, you would define the movement type as the key =
(or
part of the key) of a condition table, and only enter an output for the
movement type in question..

P.S.: I enclose the thread that was missing:

Hi Jose,

the event trigger via output control is documented in the workflow =
online
documentation, and you will probably find the "NDR" feature somewhere =
in the
MM documentation.

Thanks for the assistance! Is this documented anywhere?

David,

use output control to create the event. Each user who creates MIGO =
documents
must have user parameter NDR set to "X" (don't ask!), and then it =
works.

In transaction NACE, Application ME, create a new output type with =
Partner
Function Events (workflow) and processing routine RVNSWE01, form
CREATE_EVENT.

Then enter condition records for the key combination you need (the MM
consultant should now these), Medium 9, Timing 4. In the communication
settings (pushbutton from the condition maintenance), you specify the =
event
you want.

Also add the output type to procedure ME0001.

Hth,
Stephan

Hi

Could you not bring the movement type into the workflow container, and =
then
direct the workflow as appropriate.

Subject: Creating events us
ing message control

Hi every-one

I've received some help from people on the list already, but I am stuck
again. We're on 4.6C.

To give a bit of background - we'd like to notify the requisition =
requester
when goods have be
en received at the stores, and the buyer when goods are
returned to vendor. The difference between these two is the movement =
type.
I
believe the best way to do this is through making use of message =
control.
However, this is the first time I have worked with this. I'm worki
ng with
application area ME and have created an output type called ZWF1.

When creating an output type, there are two things that I need and am
rather
confused about - one is the access sequence - is this the field holding =
the
move
ment type??, and the other is the function in the partner functions -
which one do you use for workflow? I need this to be in place so that I =
can
go to the condition types and set up the communication there. I have =
been
trying to go through the online help - but there ar
e two pages on workflow
that give very little info and help. The documentation on Message =
Control
is
not very illuminating either.

Any help would be much appreciated.
