Word Attachment

Greetings,
We have added the 'Document From template' step to a workflow which creates
a MS Word Document.
We would like to send the resulting Word Doc as an attachment in an email.
However the Word Doc
is Object type WF_DOC and email attachments require Object type SOFM (Office
Doc) .
 
Does anyone know how to convert a WF_DOC object type to a SOFM object type?
