Work Centers

We are currently on version 4.0B.  We set up work centers for groups of
people.  For example, our Purchasing department is in a work center.
Therefore, when PO's are routed through workflow, they will route to the
work center instead of an individual.  When we set up people in the work
centers (by position number), the change does not take effect until the
following day.  This is apparently due to the fact that some program needs
to run to make the change effective.  Does anyone know what that program
could be?  I am trying to set up people in a work center in our training
client.  However, we don't want to run PFUD in case it wipes out fictitious
people.
