Openning workitems in SAP trough link from OUTLOOK

Hello Iris,
 
One way you can do this is via a Windows Shortcut to a 'SAP shortcut'.  To
do this:
 
1) Create a Windows shortcut that runs the SAP shortcut program SAPSHCUT.EXE
with the following arguments:
 
        "C:\Program Files\SAPpc\sapgui\SAPSHCUT.EXE" -language=E
-sysname="SAP Production" -client=010 -command=SBWP -type=Transaction
-title=Workflow Inbox
 
* Note that you will have to use your own arguments for language, sysname
and client.
 
When you double-click on the shortcut, it should popup a userid/password
window (if you aren't already logged on) and then take you directly to
transaction SBWP.
 
2) Copy the Windows shortcut to a network drive folder that is accessible by
all of your users.
 
3) In your e-mail add the following text but include your own values for the
path to the location of your Windows shortcut (ie servername, path and
shortcut name):
 
<file://<servername>:\<path>\<shortcutname>
 
 
Note that the "<" and ">" characters are important - this allows Outlook to
resolve the whole path/filename as a link even if there are spaces in it.
Other than the "<" and ">" characters, this is a standard URL.

Hello all,
 
We've just installed SAP-Exchange Connector, and it works fine (sending
plain text emails from sap).
As I've understood, workitems cannot be processed in outlook (we don't use
SAP MAPI PROVIDER).
Is there a way to send a LINK to SAP inbox and to the workitem in it?
So when double clicking on it, the sap GUI will start (logging screen) and
after entering name & password, the workitem itself will open?
If it is possible, what will be the syntax?
We use Office XP, Sap4.6c, Exchange 5.5, Sxc connector V1.54
Any help will be much appreciated.
