retrieve SOFM text from WI...

Hi everybody!
 
I've got the following problem:
 
A user attached some RAW text to a workitem. This text should now be
transferred to another sap system to appear in a notification.
 
My idea was: Retrieve the text from the attachment, pass it via events
multiline container to remote system and use it in different workflow. But
I've NO idea how to locate the text in the tables. I couldn't as well find
a FM that does this in background.
 
Any better ideas are highly appreciated!
