Hi Monique,

If you have sufficient authorization, you should be able to select Edit->Change and then replace manually.

Hope this helps,

When I try and replace a document that another user has pulled up, the
"replace" functionality is grayed out. The status of the document is "in
process". There is another choice in the container - "replace manually".
Is this the one I need to pick to put the document back in the work center
for other user's to process it?

If the purpose is to replace work items for one specific person the
standard report SWI5 is much better than SWI1 as the former will display
the inbox of a particular user.

Hi Roberto,

Standard way: Use one of the reports e.g. transaction SWI1 to select the
work items by
status (e.g. SELECTED, STARTED) and then use the work item change functions
to "Replace manually".

Custom way: Create your own report to select the work items (e.g. using
SAP_WAPI_WORKITEMS_TO_OBJECT)
and use WAPI function module SAP_WAPI_PUT_BACK_WORKITEM to do the same.

Dear All,

Workitems are send to all users linked to a position. If a user has
selected a workitem it disappears from the other users inbox's. The
question is how can you trace these items and put them back to the group
when a user get's sick e.d.

Regards,
Roberto Mast
