Jay,

read the archiving section of the workflow documentation, you will find =
all
the answers and technical details there.=20

In essence, NEVER use the deletion reports RSWWWIDE and RSWWHIDE in a
production system, unless you want workflow that are still active to be
destroyed with no fallback other than a system restore. This happened =
at a
client site a while back on an integration test system that was =
required for
audit purposes, and it was quite ugly..

The archiving program looks for completed workflows only (i.e. the =
flowitem
is complete plus all subordinate workitems), and then archives them, so =
that
there is still an audit trail.

Hth,
Stephan

Betreff: Archiving/Deleting Work Items

Hello Everyone:

We are looking at possibly deleting/archiving work items in our =
production
system. This has never been done since 1996 and we have millions of =
work
items in different statuses. One of the options we are looking at is =
to
delete/archive all work items from 1996 through 2001 irrespective of =
the
status. Has anyone undertaken such an effort? I would really =
appreciate it
if you could share your experiences.

Thanks,
Jay Deena
