Hi all:
I am trying to determine the best way to manage an org structure. For =
one
workflow - a service entry approval - I need to set up the org chart wi=
th
superiors in a determined manner. Unfortunately, within the workflow, =

cannot specify a position as the agent - I can only specify Superior (r=
ole)
due to the fact that each different workflow initiator has a separate c=
hain
of superiors (ie: a storekeeper's approver should be a superintendent,=
a
data clerk's approver should be a storekeeper and THEN a superintendent=
,
etc.). The problem comes when I also need to use the same org structur=
e
for Purchase Requisition approvals. These same initiators need to have=
different superiors, but at the same time, I can only point to superior=
s,
and not to positions, as at each different work center / department the=
chain of superiors is different.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get around this proble=
m?
