Abby, define ANY other kind of relationship for your secondary =
association
with superiors, and write a role that works like the one that retrieves =
the
manager..

Betreff: Org structure question

Hi all:

I am trying to determine the best way to manage an org structure. For =
one
workflow - a service entry approval - I need to set up the org chart =
with
superiors in a determined manner. Unfortunately, within the workflow, =
I
cannot specify a position as the agent - I can only specify Superior =
(role)
due to the fact that each different workflow initiator has a separate =
chain
of superiors (ie: a storekeeper's approver should be a superintendent, =
a
data clerk's approver should be a storekeeper and THEN a =
superintendent,
etc.). The problem comes when I also need to use the same org =
structure
for Purchase Requisition approvals. These same initiators need to have
different superiors, but at the same time, I can only point to =
superiors,
and not to positions, as at each different work center / department the
chain of superiors is different.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get around this =
problem?
