Deadlines in WF

Sorry, but the standard deadline functionality does not take non-working
days into account. If you wish to avoid this, there is a little extra work
you have to do for calculating the deadlines.  A good description how to do
this is in the enclosed file.

Does anybody know if deadlines in a workflow activity take only working days
(monday to friday) into account or it is a calculation based on an absolute
duration?
