Sycronous BOR method and the COMMIT statement

Hi Wf gurus,
 
  Is it allowed to use commit statement in a sycronous BOR method ?

   I remember, that I read somewhere in the SAP documentation
  that it is NOT allowed ... I did not find this sentence ,,,
  Or the problem is my poor memory ...
