Restart role resolution

Hi Martin,
Try transactions SWPR (restart after error) and SWPC (continue after
system crash), and SWI2_ADM1 (work items without agents).

You may find SWPC is the best for your situation as it hasn't actually
gone into error or created the work item.

The new functionality you mention is more to do with work item
pre-conditions
and the new basic data event reaction options, e.g. you can add a
pre-condition
to your work item to check an agent can be found or create an
event that makes the workflow reassess all rule resolutions, so this
is stuff you can build into your workflow in advance, e.g. for sophisticated
exception handling.

If you already have a problem, then use the workflow administration tools.

Subject: Restart role resolution

hello group !

a role that i created failed with a shortdump because of memory issues we
are having in the system. the workflow is "in process" but does not move on
to "error" status. how can i restart the role resolution after it failed
like that ? is it at all possible ? we are on a 6.10 basis release and i
heard that there are some standard programs/tools that can be used, but i
don't seem to be able to find them.

on a side note, there have been some comments on this list that making a
task "general" has a negative impact on inbox performance and that tasks
should be assigned to jobs, positions, etc. does anyone have any details on
whether it is true and where it is coming from ?

thanks,

martin
