Calling Webtransaction from website & extended URL link

Deanna,
question 1
The website you are calling from, is that within Workplace or outseide
workplace?
also, do you want to call the webtransaction within workplace or outside?
you should understand your setup (talk to your basis ppl) and make sure there's
nothing dodgy about calling the webtransaction if it's not being called within
workplace.
(we've had some issues with delivering SAPGui for HTML outside Workpalce)
so, if your calling the webtransaction outside workpalce, you should be able to
use this URL.
http://<server>/scripts/wgate/<internet service>/!
noting, the internet service should have the same name as your transaction (use
se80 or sap at web studio to check).
also, If your having problems with this URL then your basis ppl should be able
to help.
question 2
not knowing anything about CRM, and assuming your delivering CRM through SAPGui
for HTML, you can run the URL with a password like this
http://<server>/scripts/wgate/<internet
service>/!?~password=<yourpassword>
however, there's a huge security problem here with the unencrypted password open
for the world to see.
so I wouldn't recommend this.
besides that, you could (again) talk to your basis ppl to setup a password in
your ITS parameters on the ITS server.

Subject: Calling Webtransaction from website & extended URL link
Hi there!
I have 2 queries and any help would be much appreciated!
1. I have created a Webtransaction for my Workflow Template and the
problem now that we do not know is how to call my webtransaction from
a customised push button on screen from the website/internet. Does
anyone have any idea how this could be done?
2. Within my work item, I have a URL link which presently points to
the main logon screen in CRM. What my client wants is to bypass the
logon
screen in CRM and brings them straight into the main transaction
screen. Does anyone know if this is possible and what are the
parameters
that I should type for the URL link within my work item?
Thanks and Regards,
Deanna Teo
