Help! Workflow definition disappears (4.5B)

We have a workflow (task type WF) which has been used for a couple of years, but
which they wanted to change the UI of recently. In a decision task I have
therefore swapped the order of two of the choices. Everything is fine in
development and in system test, but in production the workflow definition is not
available. In the task definition the checkbox for workflow definition is
unchecked! I don't like this at all.

The UI for the user is changed, so the changed order of choices has gone
through. However, we received reports that indicated that this was also the only
change that had gone through, i.e. that when pressing button 2 (which used to be
button 3) the result was the same as it was when pressing button 2 before the
change. An example since this can get confusing. Assume that before we had the
two choices "delete" and "create attachment". Now the user sees "create
attachment" and "delete", but choosing "create attachment" will delete the
document. This is not very popular.

After testing in the production system today (ran a test via SWUD first) it
seems that the functionality is OK. However, the checkbox in the task definition
screen is still unchecked, and the error message when trying to start a workflow
builder is still "Workflow definition /0000 not found".

Looking at the OSS Notes I found one which was similar, note number 315515.
However, this note seems to be dealing with a slightly different problem.
