SWUY: WF: Workflow-Message Linkage

That's right David,
It's just for dialog use. For example if something has not been properly
customized or you don't have enough authorization you can press the button
and trigger the workflow which eventually solves the problem.

FI has workflow-enabled validations. These validations normally display
error messages but you can configure them to trigger a workflow instead. I'm
not sure how easy they are to use in practice because there's very little
information passed to the workflow (no binding).

As far as I am aware this was meant just for dialog use, does anyone
else know different ?

Hi Dave,

Thanks. I found the button on the message. Is there a way to start the WF
without having to press the button? For example, If something was running
in background.

Hi Myra

This transaction allows you to create an empty workflow template
with the SY message variables automatically created as container elements.
You can then create your own process within the template.

When the error message is raised there is a button that you can press to
start the workflow created via SWUY.

Cheers
Dave

Does anyone know the intended use of transaction SWUY? It is a WF Wizard
which creates error handling routines for specific error codes. The Error
Message code is placed in table T100W with the newly created WF task
number.

Is it possible to tie this into standard reports or is it only used within
the WF system?

Thanks,
Myra
