Workflow and archivelink

Hi workflowers,
 
Does anybody has or knows where to find information about workflow and
archivelink? we need a workflow to verify scanned invoices. I supose we need
and extern system that supports archivelink with SAP. I would like to know
how do I configure SAP to be able to understand the extern system? Any
experience to learn about it?
 
Any help will be grateful.
