Collaborative workflows with Wf-XML

Hi,
The URL that I mentioned is only going to be of use to those of you who are
really setting up collaborative scenerios which reach out through the
internet. You can use it as a sort of wf-xml ping.

Our experience is that
1.> Intra-company scenarios which take place within the firewall are pretty
easy to set up.
2.> Inter-company scenarios via the internet - pretty easy too.
3.> Communication between a system within one company inside the firewall
and a system from the same company but outside the firewall - difficult.

Because the 3rd scenario is only needed for test/verification purposes it's
better avoiding this and verifying against our test URL instead.

For background material on Wf-XML I suggest you visit our home page,
http://service.sap.com/webflow , where you'll see a good presentation with
screencams in the media section (thanks to Jay Hill). The Wf-XML definition
can be read at the Workflow Management Site (www.wfmc.org).

Thanks to those of you who have already responded. It seems that I wasn't
the only one struggling with firewall technology. For demos within the
firewall (intranet) this URL will not be of much use.

Kind regards,
Alan Rickayzen
