Parked document (FIPP) event Created not firing

Peter,

there is a bit of customising you need to do to get the event generated. In the
IMG, go to Financial Accounting -> Global Settings -> Document -> Document
Parking -> Create Workflow Variant (OBWA). You need to create a workflow variant
(or use the standard supplied), and go in to the details. Then tick the box next
to "Posting release" and save - then the FIPP.Created event will be triggered
every time a parked document is created.

The other fields (Release From and Subworkflow) are used in the standard
approval workflow provided by SAP, together with various other IMG transactions
in the Document Parking section. For full details refer to the SAP help
documentation on workflow scenarios, which gives details of how to configure the
standard template. The gist of it is that you can set up slightly different
procedures for different company codes, vendor and customer groups, with
different threshold values of document that require approval. The "release from"
field is the threshold value of a document that requires approval - if you leave
it blank then all will require approval - or more specifically in workflow
terms, the "Release From" field specifies what value the documents must have
before they trigger the FIPP.Created event. If you are not using the standard
template, then you don't need to worry about creating different variants and
assigning them to different company codes, vendor groups and customer groups,
you just want the event triggered when the document is created.

Hope this helps.

Subject: Parked document (FIPP) event Created not firing

Guys,

For some reason the event Created for business object type FIPP does not
seem to be triggered when I create a parked document via transaction FB60
(version 4.6B). This event does not even show when I do an event trace.

The relevant event linkage entry for my standard task are:
        Object type: FIPP

        Event: CREATED

        Receiver type: TS90300123

        Receiver FM: SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT
        Check function:

        Receiver type FM:

        Destination:
        Global: X
        Type linkage active: X
        Enable event queue:
Behaviour upon error feedback: System presetting
        Receiver status: No errors.

If anyone has had any experience with workflows for parked documents I'd
appreciated some feedback. I thought it may have something to do with
customising but I can't find any relevant documentation. Additionally, we
are *not* using a user exit to suppress the event.

Thanks and regards
