Binding warning/error

We're on Version 3.1H.
 
I'm repeatadly getting the following error/warning:
 
W8 154 and WL 412 . The text of the messages indicate that there is a
binding  problemand that two elements are not in the container  but I've
checked and re-checked but the problem is still occurring. In a subsequent
step to where I'm getting the error/warning I display one of the values  and
an incorrect value is displayed. However when I run work item analysis and
look in the container both the elements exist and have the required/correct
value.
 
Where am I going wrong? Any suggestions appreciated.
