WF: How to attach an object in a workitem

Hi,
 
I need to attach an object (it could be one or more objects) in my workitem
as a link. When the user open the workitem, they can click on the link and
it will display the object. The object type can be any mime objects, Word
Doc....
 
Can anyone please give me some advice on how to accomplish this?
