Hi,

In EBP (or even BBP) there is an user attributes named FORWARD_WI. This
attribute is used by standard program RSWUWFMLEC to send the notification
directly to the e-mail adress instead of EBP inbox.

If you remove this attribute, system will not send internet e-mail.

Regards.

Hi Bodo,

Thanks for your reply, but I think I was not clear in my previous
explanation. The point is that we can send mail to the Internet even from
workflows. However in EBP 20C I was expecting that if I send mail to an EBP
user (internal user), the system would recognize that we have maintained the
e-mail address as the standard communication method and forward the e-mail
automatically. Take for example the workflow for the approval of the
shopping basket. E-mails from that workflow are always sent to the org.
Object/ID and therefore we have to configure automatic forwarding with SO36
to forward it to the Internet account.

Hi Arnoud,
in any case you need to configure the Internet Mail Gateway (SCOT) or use a
Connector
to directly connect to a Mail Server (SAP Exchange Connector).
The configuration is well documented and depends on the platform your EBP is
installed on (see online documentation).

If you need further Info let me know.

Subject: Sending mail to Internet account from EBP does not always work

Hello Workflowers,

A customer is using standard templates for the approval of the shopping
basket in EBP 20C. However when mail is sent to the user (approver) it is
sent to his/ her EBP inbox and not to the e-mail address that is maintained
for this user. It is possible to send a mail to this Internet account from
the workflow, for example when we create a template of our own with a send
mail step and enter the e-mail address directly. It is of course possible to
configure automatic forwarding with SO36/SO13, but since I have read the
message below previously submitted by Jocelyn, I am wondering if I am
overlooking some setting we have not made.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Arnoud

Hi Dave,
All mails sent out automatically from BBP/EBP workflows are always
sent to the user's email address and not to their BBP/EBP inbox.
Only workitems are automatically sent to their inbox.
So I guess you are talking about users manually creating messages
in the inbox? In which case normal inbox substitutions (as opposed
to workflow substitutions) should allow you to forward the mail on.
