Hi John,

This is actually very simple and a really nice part of the wf doc
functionality, just create the wf doc and you can include all your container
elements directly as mail merge fields.

The main issue I encountered using wf docs is the limited number of document
templates you can effectively use in any one workflow. Solved it by using
dynamic workitem linkage, specifying the number of the subworkflow in a
separate table and extracting it from there at runtime, using this parameter
then to start a subworkflow which only contains the document templates I
need for that specific occasion of the correspondence requirement and use
the resulting wf doc container element for further processing (ie printing)
of the wf doc. This does raise issues for maintenance, however.

Subject: WF Doc Template

Hi all

I am begining to look at the possibilities of using the 'Create Document
from Template' step within a workflow. Never having used this particular
aspect, I want to create a letter, based on a Sales Order that is populated
with data from the Sales order object and workflow, in MS Word. Is this a
typical use and how do i bind from the WKflw container to entries within
the Word doc.

Thanks in anticipation

John
