Deadline items in Lotus Notes integration on 4.6c

Tom,
One solution would be to use the modelled deadline handling of workflow.
> Define the deadline period as normal
> Specify a branch (event) to follow in the deadline tabstrip.
> As the next step in the branch you can define a new send-mail step.
In 4.6C send-mail has it's own step type.

This will cause a mail to be sent out. You could use Domino Connector to
transfer the mails to anyone in the Domino system even if they do not have
access to the SAP system.
The original work item will wait patiently without being affected by the
deadline handling (unless of course you want to terminate it via another
step in the deadline branch).

If you want action to be taken instead of simply a mail you can define a new
action step in the escalation branch.

Kind regards,

Alan Rickayzen

Subject: Deadline items in Lotus Notes integration on 4.6c

Hi.

We have implemented workflow with the SAP supplied Lotus Notes integration
based on SAPforms on release 4.6c. In the solution we have implemented,
deadline items is an important part. We have however experienced that
deadline items cannot be executed from Lotus Notes. The feedback from Chorus
Gmbh and via them from SAP, suggests that no support for deadline items was
developed in the SAPforms integration for Lotus Notes.

Based on the above, I would be interested to hear if any of you have done a
similar integration and if you have developed a solution for deadline items.

Regards
Tom Bakke
