Have you looked at OSS note 336786?  It deals with error W8114 and is
applicable to 46C.

 Hi,
 
We are running a workflow in 46C and get the above error , I think it says
something length of source date cannot be 10 chars long (something like
this, at home currently). I am passing 2 elements to a workflow laufi &
laufd. The first task in the workflow does a call transaction to transaction
F110.  I only get  the above error when I run the workflow through the SAP
generated transaction (through SWUG) that calls the workflow dynamically. If
I use the test tool or run it within the workflow definition it works fine.
The field laufd is based on F110V-laufd which is length 8 and type dats. Any
ideas ???
