WS20000003 - Pay increase approval with SAP forms

Hello,
We are currently looking at using Workflow WS20000003(Pay increase approval
with SAP forms) but have been told that as of 4.5 this workflow is not supported.
 Has anyone ever used this Workflow and are there any other reasons not
to use it, besides the fact that it is not supported?
