Workflows over distributed SAP

Hi workflowers,
 
does somebody have experience with Workflows over distributed SAP =
systems
away?  That is, a central system is connected by ALE with peripheral
systems.  A permission process is to be started in the central system, =
be
gone then to the peripheral systems, and again back.
 
My question is:  Is that difficult?  Where are special problems =
situated?  I
imagine also the administration of such Workflows with difficulty.
 
Perhaps someone can report from its experience.
