Use of Common organization units across SAP components ?

Hello David,
 
unfortunately there is no generic answer to that. If
it is possible to find one common org structure for
all business processes involved (R/3, BBP, CRM) the
you definitely should go for one common structure. You
can use ALE to maintain the structure in one system
and to distribute it periodically to the other two
systems, where you cannot change the structure.
 
What I would recommend is to have a common core org
structure, that is maintained as described above, that
applies to all systems. If necessary you can maintain
"add-on" structures in each system for specfic
processes of that system.
