filter/group -- workflow inbox

Hi, everyone
 
I am new to SAP workflow. I have a question regarding how to filter/group
workflow items in workflow inbox. The SAP version I am on is 4.5B.
 
What are attribute 1 and attribute 2 in the remaining columns while trying to do
filter/group? Can you define these fields? If so, how can I do it?
 
My problem is that my object(zpoitmsg) has an attribute called "effective date"
(zpoitmsg.edate), and I would like to group my workflow items in inbox according
to that attribute. How can I do this?
