Trigger for Creation of PO Service Entry Sheets

Hi Warwick,
Even in "Events for Change Documents" the term "business object" still means
something from the business object repository, i.e. an object which can be
viewed via transaction SWO1 (Object Builder). So "main table" has nothing
to do with it unfortunately. You need to use the object repository
hierarchy to find it, or hope some kind soul like Mark comes along and
suggests BUS2091. Remember most of the major standard SAP business objects
start with BUS followed by a number.

If you are attempting to link the event to a change of a particular field,
then once you have entered the change doc object, business object, and event
name, press ENTER to open up the checkbox at the start of that line, turn on
the checkbox and hit the button up the top of the screen called "Field
Restrictions" - that's where you can use your table names like ESSR.

Suggest you try the tutorials in the R/3 Library help (section BC-BMT-WFM)
on event creation if you need some more clues - they are really very good.
Enjoy!
Regards, Jocelyn Dart.

Mark,

Thanks for your reply. This seems like a good solution, however I'm having
some trouble defining this in the EVENTS FOR CHANGE DOCUMENTS table.

I've entered the value of ENTRYSHEET in the first column, then I've tried to
enter ESSR as the Business Object but this is rejected. As ESSR is the main
table for entry sheets I would have thought this would be the correct value.
When I do an F4 on this field it says that no value were selected and asks
me if I want to maintain the entires.

I haven't used change documents before so am nort sure what needs to be set
uup for them to work properly. Do you have any suggestions ?

thanks

Warwick.
ps. I am on a 31h system.
