you could have a look at the German SAP User-Group (DSAG->Ak BPT)  in S=
APNet,
it=B4s generally German, but the chorus presentation is english.

My understanding is that the 1998 version of Lotus LSXs are still valid.
This only supports online working & incurs no additional costs
(although SAP GUI is required on all target PCs. I have trawled the Lotus
site but there is so much material on SAP integration.
 
Chorus, will offer from 4.6 C a new option which supports offline working
too. This will not require SAP GUI on client PCs.
 
I have mailed Chorus for info as to which versions this integration
may apply to & costs (but am still waiting).
 
Experience / thoughts appreciated.
