There are some significant differences between ABAP 3.x and 4.6.
- ABAP 4.6 is very object oriented as compared to the older releases.
- The user interface of ABAP 4.6 WorkBench is different from earlier releases.
- ABAP 4.6 introduces new language keywords.  However, your existing ABAP 3.x code
should work in ABAP 4.6 with none to minimal changes since ABAP 4.6 is backward
compatible.
