Dear Colleagues,

I have not received the official response from the PRC but my impression from the open and closed sessions plus talking privately to Elke and Andy is as follows:

1. They congratulate us on the progress.

2. They are concerned with the luminosity determinations and remind us that while an absolute luminosity measurement is not vital it is important to understand this in as much detail and as precisely as possible.

3. The tracking results are encouraging but there is still a lot to be done and studied before we can claim success.

4. Manpower is a critical issue and they would encourage additional manpower be applied to the analysis.

5. It is likely that the PRC would like a progress report in 3 months.

At the Open Session Jan made a very nice presentation of the current status. In particular we should thank him for his last minute work on tracking to produce such an impressive positron and electron yield which I think was crucial in convincing the PRC that we are making progress.

In the closed session I presented our plans for the future, waved my hands in the air, and generally tried to present a positive picture. Now everyone has to live up to what I said. So congratulations on what has been done so far but now back to work.

The slides from the open and closed sessions are on the Wiki at:
