Dear Douglas,
Include please in the agenda Anatoli Krivchich talk
"Status of MWPC tracking system" ( instead of Sasha Kisselev
presentation on MWPS status,first day).
Another matter is about study of possible systematic uncertainties in
the experiment. In the recent Frank's mail there is a list of questions
to be answered which I have posted below:
- beam energy
- beam position
- beam angle
- horizontal and vertical emittance
- bunch length
- background ( scattered particles from dust )
- differences of ion/electron densities within the target due to
different electric field of the beam
These items are related to the beam/target performance.i.e., how much
possible imperfections (say beam slope instability or change fro e+ to
e-)may affect the measured e+/e- asymmetry.
A similar list I presume must exist also for the detector itself.
One item is obviously the effect of magnetic field polarity change on
the detector acceptance.I am sure there are some others.
This job is to be done using MC analysis possibly soon as the results
may implies some (doable/reasonable) rearrange of the detector.
I have done estimations of possible false asymmetry due to instability
of the beam slopes. The result will be sent to Frank and colleagues. This
is however just a very little fraction of all the job to do. Shouldn't
we discuss this issue at the meeting?
One more thing, will we discuss the status and preparation to the test
run? As I understand in December all apparatus must be practically
ready and installed.
With best regards stanB

They will meet briefly with some members of the MAC committee later that same morning to get feedback on what the MAC would like to see. I have left a slot Monday afternoon to discuss the MAC presentation again. This also allow the people in the USA to attend and comment via video link.
