[mosh-users] errors compiling mosh

Hi there

I'd like to compile mosh on a server where I don't have root.
Starting from git fails like this::

    $ ./autogen.sh
    aclocal: unrecognized option -- `--install'
    Try `aclocal --help' for more information.
    autoreconf: aclocal failed with exit status: 1

What version of the autotools does mosh want? The server has
$ autoreconf --version
autoreconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.59

This is on CentOS release 5.8

Starting from the tarball fails like this::

    user at server:~/src/mosh-1.1.3$ ./configure --prefix=/home/user/local
    [...]
    checking whether OSSwapHostToBigInt64 is declared... no
    configure: error: Unable to find byte swapping functions

I guess this is due to missing dependencies. I'll ask the host whether
they can install. What versions of the dependencies are required?

Eager to try mosh, it looks wonderful.
