Molecular spectroscopy in quantum
  fluid clusters

APRIL 29, 2008

12:00 - 1:00 p.m.
Grier Room 34-401

Spectra of molecules embedded in helium droplets provide a unique
insight into superfluidity on an atomic scale. Liquid helium is also
a versatile, extremely cold matrix for assembling and studying of
atomic and molecular clusters. In this talk spectroscopic
manifestations of superfluidity in helium droplets will be discussed.
Raman spectroscopic experiments aimed at the observation of
superfluidity in liquid hydrogen will also be reviewed.
